SCA Timer

Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

In short: you don’t need an account, we don’t use cookies, and we never ask for your name or email address. Your timer settings stay on your device.

Who we are

SCA Timer (scatimer.co.uk) is a free tool run by SCA Prep. SCA Prep is the data controller for any personal data processed through this website. You can contact us at hello@scaprep.co.uk.

What’s stored on your device

Your timer settings, such as timings, sounds and appearance, are saved in your browser’s local storage so they’re there next time you visit. They never leave your device and we can’t see them. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you. It records things like the page you visited, the site that referred you, your country, and your browser and device type. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse, and keeps these logs for a short time. Vercel may process this data outside the UK, with the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

Links to SCA Prep

Links from this site to SCA Prep include tags (such as utm_source=sca-timer) so SCA Prep can see that you came from here. They don’t contain any personal information. If you visit SCA Prep, its own privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and object to how we use it. Because SCA Timer doesn’t collect information that identifies you, we usually hold nothing to provide, but please contact us with any questions. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
